This is a welded stainless steel panel with an 8 mm aperture and 1 mm wire, made from V2A stainless steel (AISI 304, EN 1.4306). The wires are welded at every crossing, so the panel is rigid, stays flat and square, and its cut edges do not unravel the way woven mesh can. The 8 mm opening keeps out birds and larger pests while leaving the grid open for air and light, which is why this size is a common choice for aviaries, animal enclosures and protective covers.
