This woven stainless steel wire mesh shares the same 2 mm aperture as our V2A version but is woven from AISI 316 (EN 1.4401, V4A) stainless steel with a 0.56 mm wire. The 316 grade adds molybdenum, which improves resistance to chlorides and aggressive media, so it holds up better in marine, coastal and chemical environments than standard 304. The 2 mm opening lets air and water pass while retaining debris and larger particles, making it a durable choice for filtration, guarding and screening where corrosion is a concern. Each sheet is cut to your exact width and length, so it fits your frame or housing straight away.

FAQ

How does this differ from the V2A (304) mesh?

It has the same 2 mm aperture but is woven in AISI 316 (EN 1.4401, V4A), which resists chlorides and salt better than 304.

What wire diameter is used?

0.56 mm stainless steel wire, woven to a 2 mm aperture at 10 mesh.

Is 316 worth it for outdoor use?

If the mesh will be exposed to salt water, chlorides or coastal air, the 316 grade is the more durable choice.

Can it be cut to size?

Yes, every sheet is cut to the width and length you specify.
