This is the finest mesh in our range: a woven stainless steel cloth with a 0.075 mm aperture (75 µm) and a 0.05 mm wire, which works out at 200 mesh. It is woven from AISI 316 (EN 1.4401, V4A) stainless steel, the molybdenum-alloyed grade that resists chlorides and many aggressive liquids better than standard 304. The 75 µm opening retains very fine particles and sediment, so the cloth is used as a filter medium in liquids and gases rather than as a screen. Because the wire is so fine, the cloth is delicate: it should be supported by a coarser mesh in pressure filters and handled with care when fitting. We cut every sheet to your exact width and length.

Use case
- Fine filter inserts with a 75 µm cut-off for liquids and gases
- Strainer and sieve elements for fine powders and sediments
- Filtration in corrosive media where AISI 316 is required
FAQ
- What does 200 mesh mean here?
- 200 openings per inch: a 0.075 mm (75 µm) aperture woven from 0.05 mm stainless steel wire.
- Why is it woven in AISI 316?
- The 316 grade (EN 1.4401, V4A) resists chlorides and many aggressive liquids better than 304, which matters for a filter cloth this fine.
- How should it be installed?
- Support it on a coarser mesh in pressure filters and avoid creasing the sheet. The 0.05 mm wire is easily damaged if the cloth is folded sharply.
- Is there a coarser V4A alternative?
- Yes. The 0.1 mm (150 mesh) and 0.125 mm (120 mesh) V4A meshes are the next sizes up.
